Happy Today !

Well, I finally had a day where I did not get much calls from work ( I wish I don't get them at all ).

Tried cleaning my room, but couldn't clean it completely. So leaving it messy I decided to mess it up more !

This is what I did through-out the day !

Tried doing some nail-art but as always I lost the patience and messed it up.
I like the "blue" in this picture. ( Talking of Blue here reminds me of a friend who is fond of wearing Blue, and most of the times when we meet up I find him wearing Blue only; few friends even call him Blue Blue. lol )

Though not very happy with what it turned out to be I still like this pendant I made in approx. 2.5 hrs, I think.
I would probably get a golden chain for this one and would replace that Golden yarn I used.

I Absolutely loved how these earrings were looking after I finished attaching the loop and wore them.
Would try making these in some different colors and then put up pictures of same.

NOT TO MISS: Something I totally love in my room ! These drawstring curtain ! <3

Learning New Techniques !

Usually I don't get much free time on a normal working day; still, since I have taken a resolution of doing atleast *something* creative everyday# I am exploring few new craft techniques.

So while brainstorming, it clicked me that long time back I saw few of my juniors in college trying Quilling.
It is a paper craft stuff done with colored paper strips. After asking them about it, I got to know that these paper strips are available in market in all colors and widths; also one can get a complete kit with a folding tool, stencils for different shapes and glues also.

After some R n D what I learnt was that Qulling is an art of folding, pasting colored paper strips and making shapes out of it that can be converted into an artwork or even products.

So after deciding one fine day to try this technique, I logged on to my YouTube account and saw some tutorials for the same. Next thing I realized was - This is not my cup of tea!!

Though the outcome of these carefully molded shapes looks really cool, but the most important thing it requires which I  lack is Patience! God, it takes like hours ( atleast in my case it did ) and all you can see is approx an inch or two of work done. But no doubt the result of this time taking stuff is intricate and beautiful.

Sharing few pictures I found over internet that would give you a hint of what I am talking about.
( P.S: The sources are unknown as I had randomly just saved few for reference).

Stay Patient. Stay Blessed.
